The Connected Set is looking for an experienced Producer to work on a portfolio of comedy and animation projects including Channel 4's comedy and gaming strand, Mashed, and Beano Toons for Beano Studios. You will work directly with our small production team to develop and produce new comedy ideas. You will be responsible for overseeing production from a top line idea through scripting, storyboard and final animation stage. You must live and breathe comedy, love comics and cartoons, play video games and be aware of the latest trends in Internet culture. We want someone who loves being part of the creative process and is fired up by delivering funny, first class animations that smash our clients' objectives.

Responsibilities
• To create and develop original comedy ideas for a number of formats including animation, live action video, mash-ups and other forms of content.
• To contribute to the development of the content strategy for each strand in order to meet key performance metrics.
• To optimise and adapt ideas for the variety of platforms that we work with including TV, online, YouTube, social media and VOD services.
• To source external talent and contributors including writers, artists, animators and other creatives and facilitate and support them in development of ideas.
• To commission and manage the production and creation of these ideas working with the in-house team or the external creatives you have sourced.
• To lead and motivate your team and your suppliers to ensure they have clear and realistic objectives and receive constructive feedback in a timely manner.
• To lead by example and treat your team, colleagues and suppliers with respect and consideration despite pressure of deadlines.
• To work closely with your executive producer and production manager to ensure that all projects are planned to allow delivery on time and within budget.
• To monitor and evaluate performance of your work using a combination of analytic tools and other qualitative means.
• To manage expectations and communications with the client on the production process of the content before and during production.
• To represent the company at conferences and events attended by key clients.

Knowledge & Experience
The ideal candidate must have:
• At least three years' experience working in a content production role either for television, an agency or working in house for a brand.
• Previous experience of developing and producing comedy ideas, ideally for a young audience.
• A solid understanding of the online video space, and a good working knowledge on YouTube specifically and evidence of producing content for a number of online platforms and social media.
• Strong client management skills, be a self-starter and great problem solver.
• A very keen interest in video games, ideally you are a gamer, and you are immersed in internet culture.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and people management skills.
• Great time management and analytical skills.
