We're Gorilla Gorilla! An independent film and animation studio that helps brands tell powerful stories of change. We're on the hunt for a talented Producer to join our growing team.

Office / homeworking
This is primarily an office-based role (we're on City Road near to Angel / Old St / Farringdon) but with a regular need to attend location shoots in the UK (and sometimes abroad). We support homeworking with the number of office days determined on a role-by-role basis with an expectation of a minimum of 3 office days per week for all team members.

The role
Day-to-day the Producer will work as part of a team, reporting to our Executive Producer, ensuring delivery of high-quality film and animation projects to agreed financial parameters. They will also help to manage and develop client accounts.

The role will require someone to work across two main areas:

Project delivery
• 'Hands on' management of all aspects of production across a number of projects at once.
• Create / manage budgets to deliver agreed margins.
• Deliver projects on time, working with other members of the team, specialist partners and freelance staff.
• Find / manage suitable creative and freelance staff, helping to ensure availability of appropriate resource.
• Support the senior team in managing other employees / freelance staff, providing encouragement and support to build a strong team ethos. A willingness to get involved with content / creative when required.
• A willingness to get involved with content / creative when required.

Client / business development
• Help to develop / prepare the practical aspects of proposals and pitches and support in delivery.
• Work with the wider team to develop and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, through engagement with the content of projects and interest in their business / sector.
• Network within clients' businesses and develop trusted relationships to open-up opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to push the creative development of projects and the potential for wider client development.
• Understand the competitive environment and stay abreast of current thinking and trends in communication practice and media production.

Skills
• Demonstrable track record of success in delivering film and animation projects, preferably in the non-broadcast sector, for a range of clients and styles.
• Able to develop and manage budgets at a range of levels to deliver agreed margin and profitability, with the ability to see and develop opportunities for increasing revenue and profit.
• The ability to manage and work with diverse teams of creative and technical people.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of production, post-production and distribution - from live action to animation.
• Must be adept in use of Word, Excel and Outlook. Understands the web as a research tool. Use of Keynote or similar a bonus.
• An excellent face-to-face, email and telephone communicator.
• Comfortable in a broad range of social environments from the Board Room through to the shop floor and the general public.

Background
• Minimum 7+ years of experience at Producer level.
• Has probably worked in the role of Producer within the commercial, agency or non-broadcast sector, having already progressed their career through one or two different production companies or agencies (or multiple if freelance).
• Someone passionate about film in all forms and with a keen interest in contemporary thinking about the role of the moving image in the digital communication environment.
• Someone who can commit to the role and the development of the company.
