The role of the Producer is to produce clip based promos, shoots and campaigns for all Channel 4's brands. The Producer will have knowledge of prep, shoot and post across multi-media production. The Producers main priority is to deliver the creative vision working closely with the Directors and Creatives.Key Responsibilities• Ability to work across the different clip based production and transmission requirements on all channels• Management of production and delivery of all promotional and on-air identity on a day to day basis• Main point of contact and responsibility for each individual project from concept to delivery• Liaise and maintain communication with commissioning, marketing and presentation departments across all channels for all clip based work • Communication with directors to produce inventive projects/clips• Together with the Executive Producer ensure rigorous effective budget management and reconciliation on all projects and ensure working within the 4C /C4 finance and department policy & guidelines• Pre-production and production of shoots Proposal and management of crew including director for above shoots• Generation of call sheets and risk assessments and booking of post-production etc.• Production of radio, print and digital campaigns where required• Clear legal usage for archive material, music as well as liaise with Clearcast / RACC and BBFC for script and copy approvals • Together with the Executive Producer ensure legal contracts are completed per shoot e.g. for cast, composers, photographers, crew, freelancers, suppliers etc• Ensure OFCOM regulations are adhered to by regular communication with legal department• Create and maintain a central database for art directors, editors, designers, make-up artistes• Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered toEssential experience and skillsTechnical and Professional Skills• Be a creative, imaginative and innovative individual• Computer literate • Demonstrated solid experience of shoot process• Demonstrated solid experience of managing the post production process including online, grading, audio and graphicsAutonomy/ Judgement/ Decision Making• Proven ability to manage crews on location• Proven ability to carry out instruction accurately • Proven ability to bring tasks to timely conclusion in professional and thorough manner• Proven ability to communicate the project status to the Head of Production and Executive Producer highlighting concerns regarding resource and ability to deliverRelationship Management (Internal and External)• Proven ability to liaise with marketing and commissioning on all elements of the project• Proven ability to liaise professionally with external suppliers and freelancers• Proven ability to negotiate with external suppliersProblem Solving/ Complexity• Proven ability to react quickly and be capable of giving instruction when needed• Proven ability to be inventive in resourcing • Proven ability to prioritise workload• Proven ability to work under pressure in calm and friendly manner• Proven ability to handle stressful situations where the concept of the moving target is common• An interest and knowledge in current media and advertising
