Producer - Diagonal View

Up to 6 month FTC contract

We are looking for a Producer who has a background in high volume, factual entertainment programming, and a quick turn-around production schedule. You'll be an experienced Producer who has a great track record producing international series, you can lead a team under pressure and to tight deadlines and can write eloquent and fascinating scripts about the science behind every day technology.

You'll be working on the pilot before the series, so you'll also need to be an experienced creative and able to deftly shape a format.

If this sounds like you, then we'd like you to come and join the team at Diagonal View for a 6 month contract. This role has the potential to become a permanent position within the 6 month term.

Your key responsibilities

Pilot 1 x 22mins
• Run pilot production team, ensuring quality of research.
• Deliver a broadcast quality commercial half hour that wows our client.
• Plan & script the episode. Making sure it is compelling and full of fascinating facts.
• Manage archive research team, shooting team and create a style that neatly blends the two.
• Be actively involved in the creation of the design and feel of the show.
• Be actively involved in creating the tone of the show.
• Work with our client to ensure all their expectations are met to a high standard.

Series # x 22 mins
• Run production team of 8.
• Set agenda for each episode of the series.
• Ensure compliance of content included in each episode, as well as the overall cut of each episode.
• Maintain constancy throughout the series, ensuring all episodes are ones we're proud of.
• Along with the production manager, ensure the production is on time and on budget.

Your skills
• Experienced Producer; used to managing teams, scripting, schedules, licenses, deliverables and workflows.
• Plenty of relevant credits within TV.
• Excellent time and people management skills; on behalf of yourself and the production team.
• Able to work creatively.
• Ability to motivate colleagues.
• Able to create a culture of creativity on your team.
• Proficiency in Mac-based systems.
• Experience in quick turnaround environment, with a hands-on / can do mentality.

About us
Diagonal View is a specialist at building huge, engaged communities around digital content (both our own and brands channels). We are a digital production studio in Central London, creating over 500 videos per month for our 12+ channels (recently acquired by Sky). Our Channel Management division helps to grow the digital audiences for over 30 clients. We have access to a network of talent and advise brands on how best to use influencers by marrying them the right talent for their objectives, budgets and audience. We're now branching out into broadcast production with a significant commission already secured and plans to produce over 50 hours of linear TV in the next year.
