Discovery's Previewing team have a very busy schedule of sports output ahead over the next couple of months, which will include bringing 4,000 hours of Winter Olympics coverage to viewers all across Nothern Europe. They are looking for the support of Freelancers with solid Media Management, QC, Ingest or Previewing experience to help them screen and prepare scheduled programme material for transmission across 18 channels.

The role requires liaising with internal and external departments to guarantee that material lives up to our broadcast standard and is delivered within set deadlines. Duties include setting break points for commercial inventory, quality approval of programmes, and setting or confirming that appropriate parental rating certifications have been applied in accordance with DNNE guidelines.

Our Previewers work extensively with our Media Asset Management system VPMS and our scheduling system What'sOn so we are ideally looking for people with strong experience in this or similar software. A background in editing is also a real advantage and a good understanding of Ofcom regulations is essential. We are looking for flexible, friendly people who have good attention to detail and enjoy problem solving. You will be dealing with lots of sports content in this role too so a genuine love of sports is hugely beneficial!
