Post Production Planning Coordinator

London

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in Post Production. As a Planning Co-Ordinator, your role will focus on the planning and implementation of the Post Production demand, predominantly for our Sky Sports clients. You will be an integral link between Sport Production and Post Production working closely with both departments to ensure the successful delivery of content requirements.

You will:
- be working directly with the individual Sport Production teams to plan, book and manage edit demand of internal post-production facilities, supported by the Planning Supervisor
- understand different production priorities to be best placed to negotiate and resolve any conflict of resources
- balance Production requirements with SPS's business efficiency
- gain a strong knowledge of all in-house editors and facilities. Promote and identify opportunities to develop in-house talent
- produce & distribute clear and up to date edit schedules
- build and maintain collaborative relationships to enable effective forward planning
- identify and escalate persistent or serious issues to the Planning Supervisor, especially where budgets and efficiency are at risk
- work ahead with the post production bookings coordinators to resolve scheduling issues before they arise
- think on your feet and have confidence to draw on all available resources when faced with urgent issues
- assist and support with ad hoc post-production requirements & initiatives


You'll have:
- a strong understanding of post-production workflows, especially for sport
- co-ordination skills with proven experience of prioritising workload
- worked under pressure and to fixed deadlines
- experience working with IT and scheduling systems is desirable
- confidence to advise, negotiate and influence change
- good people management skills
- attention to detail & the ability to multi-task
- knowledge of sports television and Sky Sports' content output is desirable, but this role will be able to support this as a learning point
