Back2Back Productions are looking to recruit a Post Operations Manager for our established broadcast Post Production department in Brighton. The successful candidate will manage the smooth delivery of our factual programmes and series, inputting from the development stage, through to final delivery. Being a pivotal role in the company, you would be the key link between production and the offline, online, grade and dubbing suites. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company, and lead a talented and ambitious team.Key Responsibilities• Have a strong working knowledge of Avid non-linear editing and shared storage, from offline to online to Pro-tools audio dubbing• Have solid experience in communicating with production personnel, including advising on Post Production workflows• Have a strong knowledge of different tape and file based workflows and formats• Have an excellent understanding of offline editing & online editing, specifically bin management, multi-cam and project organisation• Be able to prioritise jobs and work around problems• Be able to work well within a team environment• Be able to manage and develop a team of assistants• Have excellent written & verbal communication skills• Understanding of all DPP standards of QC and file deliveryJob Duties and Responsibilities• Actively line manage the Edit Assistant team• Manage all work going through the MCR• Training Edit Assistants in processes specific to each production / workflow• Devising a programme of continuous training & development for the Edit Assistant team• Communicate issues amongst the Edit Assistant team, and deal with problems before they escalate beyond the MCR• Be the main point of contact on technical/ workflow issues for all production personnel• Be operational and part of the Edit Assistant effort as necessary• Manage all live backups and archives• Assist with general upgrades and maintenance of equipment• Arranging equipment and personnel for bespoke workflows• Managing the media on our Blackbird accounts• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and software• Work closely with the Head of Production and Head of Creative Post Production• Oversee the smooth running of the kit room• Manage shift patterns to suit current workloads, including booking additional freelance cover if necessary
