Job Title: Promo & VT Producer/Director

Job Purpose: Responsible for all aspects of Promo and Event production in the Creative Department, from interpreting Creative requests through to budgeting, approval, production, post & TX delivery.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities
•Understand and interpret Creative Requests, ensuring communications with Creative Services Manager are in place through the whole process.
•Ensure adequate planning is given, via script, storyboard and logging footage, to enable proper project management and ensure the best-selling tools are available.
•Prepare and get approval on budget & ensure it is within departments plan & achieve maximum value for money.
•To brief post production & Graphic Design on requirements so they can complete projects to brief, budget and timetable.
•Communicating all technical and logistical needs to the Technical Operation departments as early as possible.
•Working closely with the Creative Services Manager, to successfully project-manage & prioritise workload to ensure that all production schedules are clearly defined, and adhered to, well ahead of requested delivery dates.
•Working closely with the Creative Services Manager on approved budget & update internal budget documents, within budget guidelines and well ahead of actual shoot dates.
•When required, assist other Producer/Directors to plan, conceive and shoot projects.
•Assisting in the development of trainee/junior staff using regular review and feedback sessions to progress individuals and keep Creative Services Manager updated on progress.
•To be responsible for understanding and exercising creative flair to ensure that channel branding, identity and motto is retained.
•Script writing for promos and longer VT items.
•To direct crew and presenters/models in all aspects of shoots.
•Responsible for understanding and implementing Health & Safety issues, and Risk Assessments for each shoot.
•Awareness and understanding of ASA compliance issues and boundaries, investigating alternative to allow the selling message to be fulfilled in a 'safe' manner
•To provide regular project management/Creative updates and communication with department requesting the VT or Promo, and the Creative Services Manager.
•To identify their own training needs and liaise with senior department staff to gain more experience within their role.
•Attend meetings both cross company and with external clients representing the department and company in a professional manner.
