he Sky News Archive team manage the intake and delivery of footage for Sky News. Our dedicated team of Picture Researchers archive, catalogue and media manage footage in our digital asset management system. The team is also responsible for delivering high quality picture research to Sky News' newsroom; providing archival material for use on Sky News' TV channel and digital platforms. We are also rapidly developing our commercial side, generating revenue by licensing our continuously expanding collection of Sky News content.

As a member of the Sky News Archive team, you'll help drive the quality of Sky News' output by delivering a first class picture research service, which is vital to the channel's success.

You will:
- Be responsible for picture research and delivery, supplying footage required by Sky News within tight and fast-moving deadlines.
- Advise the news and programming teams on the availability of suitable archive material for specific projects
- Select footage for archiving and apply searchable metadata, identifying third party material with copyright restrictions.
- To ensure third party material or any other assets with copyright restrictions are identified and clearly marked.

You'll have:
- An interest in current affairs is essential, as is an inquisitive mind and desire to learn.
- Preferably some experience as a picture researcher or other archival/media management experience.
- A good eye for images. Excellent visual literacy and visual memory.
- A basic understanding of copyright and its application in a broadcast news environment.
- Picture researchers require resourcefulness, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work methodically and creatively under pressure.
- The ability to pick up new skills quickly is a must
