An exciting opportunity to join the Outside Broadcast team in a senior engineer position at a leading technical and broadcast services company.

Our client is a company which has been at the forefront of new innovations in sports technology for over 70 years. They provide highly complex technical solutions such as outside broadcast, broadcast services, graphics, and other services to major high-end customers in the British sports industry and key terrestrial and satellite broadcasters.

In a period of expansion, our client is looking to recruit several talented engineers across the UK.

The Role
OB Guarantee Engineers will have overall responsibility on location for ensuring all technical facilities are delivered on time and to the highest possible standards. These include leadership of the engineering team, deployment of the OB Unit, guarantee responsibility for all inputs and output, signal delivery to customers and supporting the Unit Manager to the customer and stakeholders.

The Guarantee Engineer will ensure all SOP's are followed, will lead the resolution of faults or incidents promptly - delegating where appropriate - and ensuring the overall engineering standards are maintained and improved.

It is expected that the Guarantee Engineer will cover Unit Managers on occasions and after gaining suitable experience.

Person Profile
The successful applicant will have:
• Great understanding and experience in the following technical skills:
o HD-SDI and/or IP Broadcast systems
o End to end signal flow of broadcast camera systems
o Broadcast matrices, switchers, talkback and 'glue'
o RF knowledge with radio cameras, links and radio talkback systems
• Strong competency working with electrical supply systems (up to 63amp single phase)
• Knowledge and experience of Outside Broadcast and live sports broadcasting is desirable
• Practical approach to problem-solving to rectify faults
• Calm leadership approach on site, overseeing and mentoring OB Engineers
