To produce high quality packages and other content for ITV News across including GMB, Lunchtime News, the Evening News, News At Ten and Weekend Bulletins. To contribute innovative structure, graphics and picture treatments, as well as ideas for coverage and interviews. To write engaging and scrupulously accurate scripts and lead-ins.

Responsibilities
Producing packages for reporters/correspondents
Writing scripts, lead-ins, headlines and subbing
Browse editing video for ulays, headlines and packages
Selecting video and sound-bites to be edited for headlines, news-belts and packages
Finding contributors for reports, packages and films
Conceiving, writing and executing graphics in packages and programmes
Contributing story ideas and treatments
Being alert to news wires and breaking stories
Occasional field producing
Sourcing and logging picture and stills
Working on ITV News Digital

Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of news and current affairs
Attention to detail and scrupulous checking of facts
Well-organised
High-quality news judgement, good initiative and a self-starter
Visual flair for spotting pictures and producing graphics
Excellent writing ability
Technical adaptability and flexibility
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Personal authority and the ability to manage a group of people
Calm under pressure with the ability to adapt and be flexible in both task and role
Ability to work to deadlines
Play an authoritative role in team editorial meetings, presenting ideas in a persuasive manner
Sound knowledge of media law and an understanding of compliance
