Reporting into the Output Editors, the Production Assistant will be primarily responsible providing production support (both administrative and editorial) to both the Newsroom Ready (NR) and Consumer Ready (CR) desks.

Key accountabilities include basic editing and script writing for both the Newsroom Ready (NR) and Consumer Ready (CR) desks; assisting in generating news story & feature ideas; finding and researching archive; providing help and cover for the Planning Manager & Editors and answering client queries and logging client requests. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of incoming and outgoing FTPs.

The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience, preferably within a media or news environment; previous experience of supporting and working within a team environment and an understanding of sport in the digital/social space. Knowledge or understanding of the production process (including pre and post production) would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will be able to adapt to the news environment and work well across functional teams in an action-oriented environment.
