ITV is the biggest commercial television network in the UK. As a Music Executive you will be required to negotiate with music copyright holders, record companies, music publishers and the music unions so a good working knowledge of the rights held by PRS, MCPS, PPL and the MU is essential. In addition you will raise all manner of contracts and licences to formalise the rights secured.You will be responsible for ensuring that our Scripted Content is cleared for UK transmission and Worldwide exploitation in all media. This administrative based role will involve working collaboratively across Production, Distribution, Rights and Legal & Business Affairs regarding all manner of clearance & secondary exploitation, as well as require you to provide music budgets and rights related financial & legal risk assessments which demand an analytical approach. In addition you will be required to fulfil a research, supply and support service relating to music clearance across our multi-site operation as well as handle ad hoc projects. You must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of music copyright, media exploitation platforms, the PRSforMusic, Phonographic Performance Ltd and the Musicians' Union. You must be an effective communicator and negotiator with strong interpersonal skills, possess meticulous attention to detail and have an outstanding track record of delivering to deadlines in the face of a challenging and constantly changing workload which may require working outside of office hours and involve some travel.The successful candidate will be degree educated to a high standard and have a wealth of experience working in Music Publishing, a Record Company, a Music Collecting Society, a legal office or similar background.
