We're looking for a brilliant multi-media journalist to join our team. This role will work across ITV News digital platforms and concentrate on producing high-quality written content on the biggest news agendas. You will also secure maximum impact for ITV News' television video material online - selling it as effectively as possible. The successful candidate will write news stories and new features, publish blogs and take on web duties, as well occasionally running the news desk. This role contains early and late shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate distinctive judgement about digital storytelling - with confidence about what elements will resonate with an online audience and what will perform on different platforms
Generate ideas for stories and multimedia coverage, as well as write punchy and original headlines for social media and the website
Provide imaginative treatments for complex stories and present complex ideas simply and in a compelling manner
Ensure stories are accurate, comply with the law and relevant regulations, and work in accordance with ITN guidelines on health and safety in the office and in the field

Qualifications

Experience of AVID Newscutter, Adobe Premiere, plus other media technology to produce high quality videos from across ITV News and regional news, is desirable
Work to the highest standards of spelling, punctuation and grammar across all ITV News digital platforms
