Overall Purpose of Job:

A multi-skilled position working across the range of technical disciplines within the studio department. Studio MSO's cover a variety of tasks, including general studio maintenance/organization, kit re-positioning, camera operation, kit room duties, assisting with senior crew within camera and lighting departments.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

setting up camera equipment, inc patching wall boxes, triax cables
assisting camera operators
basic camera operation for both live and pre-recorded shows
prepping, checking in/out locations kits - using WASP asset database
assist in-house location self-shooting, audio operation, setting lighting
maintaining and tidying studios, including sweeping floors, vacuuming drapes etc
assist Art Department - moving sets

Person's specifications:

good knowledge studio equipment, procedures and best practise within a live studio environment
good knowledge and experience of pedestal cameras
the ability to carry out instructions quickly and accurately
calmness under pressure
patience and concentration
basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and procedures
good levels of stamina and physical fitness
