Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities• Multi-skilling includes operation of audio, recording/replay, router, camera, and vision control, Also skills in transmission co-ordination (checking and establishing comms), V/O mixing, interview mixing, pre on-air checks and post-air shut down.• Communicate necessary production information and developments to all relevant staff.• Attend planning meetings with studio clients when required.• Compile reports / logs on each day's recordings.• Assist engineers with maintenance and up-keep of studio and galleries.• Adhere to health and safety requirements (ie making sure risk assessments are done etc, fire lanes are clear etc).• Assist Engineering across all other studio facilities when required.• Work as part of a crew in a relevant capacity when required.• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job. Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc• Attending late night transmission and unsociable hours.• Working at weekends.• Working under pressure in a live environment.• Working alone as the sole operator of the studio facility.Key Results Areas• Studio client is supported.• Efficient preparation and planning with IMG Studio staff and engineers.• Adherence to Health and Safety in the IMG Studio and IMG standard practices.Person SpecificationKnowledge and ExperienceMandatory • Experience as Multi Skilled Operator in a live broadcast environment.• Good knowledge and experience of all broadcasting areas (sound, lighting, cameras, vision etc).Desirable• Good knowledge and experience of connectivity / MCR practices.• Experience of working with a variety of studio clients and production personnel at all levels. • Knowledge of current studio health and safety practices.• Good knowledge and experience of commentary and voice over set-up.• Good IT knowledge.• Good knowledge of Live replay operation and workflow systems, including operational experience.Skills and AbilitiesMandatory • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Good organizational abilities.• Ability to be pro-active.• Ability to work as part of a team.• Ability to keep calm and react positively in a pressured environment;• Help to provide creative solutions to technical challenges;• Ability to work well with clients at all levels;Qualifications and TrainingDesirable• Relevant technical/engineering in TV production qualification.• Good general education to at least A Level standard.• Health and Safety training.AptitudesMandatory • Positive, helpful approach ('can do' attitude).• Use of tact and diplomacy when dealing with clients.• Ability to act professionally at all times and easily adapt and fit in with a range of personalities at all levels.• Confident with handling clients.
