Motion Capture TD

London

Framestore's Capturelab is looking for a Motion Capture TD to join the team within our realtime animation and Virtual Production pipeline. Our Capturelab department is Framestore's digital swiss army knife, delivering Motion Capture, 3D scanning, Virtual Production & shoot support to our Film, VR and Advertising teams.

The Capturelab team is responsible for creating realtime animation, 3D scan data and other essential reference materials for our CG artists.

Role Responsibilities:
Overseeing the smooth running of Mocap shoots using our Vicon Mocap system
Working the Capture Supervisor and our clients, internal and external, to spec and deliver capture solutions
Maintaining and improving our post-shoot cleaning and solving pipeline in Motion Builder and Maya.
Oversee the post solving and motion edit of captured data; aiding and managing other members of the capturelab team in completing this work
Continue integration of Vicon mocap system with our Realtime Virtual Production toolset.
Setting up and calibrating the Optical Mocap system for offsite shoots.

Essential Skills:
At least 2 years experience in motion capture for film and TV and/or games using Vicon Shogun and MotionBuilder
Creative problem solving and attention to detail
Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, with good time keeping and the ability to meet deadlines
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality results
Able to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently
Flexible and adaptable
A good understanding of the entire visual effects process, from shooting through to compositing

Desirable Skills:

A good knowledge of Maya
Python, HSL and command line scripting skills
Experience with facial performance capture
Experience with multi-camera array image capture
Game engine development - Unreal and/or Unity
Experience with photogrammetry
Experience with other mocap systems - Inertial and rigid body trackers.
