Your key responsibilities:
As part of a team of over 60 you will provide high-quality, professional content services to all clients whether for Sky or third parties.
•Provide a high level of customer service and excellent client focus at all times - with a specific focus on the new Sky Sports Racing channel for at least the first 6 months of the role. You will be the first line of communication for the new project on behalf of CS Ingest, delivering against specific agreements and project timelines.
•Manage media studio servers and relevant asset management systems with precise attention to detail. Use of deletion and retention policies expected alongside sound maintenance of key databases. Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure that media is appropriately ingested, archived or deleted within time constraints of a live production environment.
•Close co-ordination alongside production teams and management of client expectation.
•Tapeless Media ingest for incoming line feeds, along with the ingest and outgest of removable media and file delivery transfers.
•Handle the efficient file delivery of all Content Services Ingest, Playout, Studio and Outside Broadcast functionality across a 24 hour period every day; delivering to the requirements of both Sky and specific third party channels.
•Operate EVS LSM and IPD within all Osterley based studio productions and many outside broadcasts for live turnaround and play-out of material. Ability to work in an automated gallery environment.
•Work alongside, and in other departments within Content Services, utilising industry best practices to deliver a first class service to all clients, whether internal or external
•Be able to work on a rotating shift pattern that covers 24hrs / 7 days per week.
Your skills:
•You need to have a sound professional knowledge of relevant workflows and working practices. Experience of working in a broadcast environment is highly beneficial.
•You will have a pro-active approach to the role and be able to show evidence of determination and desire to succeed. You should be helpful, approachable and positive with a keen eye for detail and good general technical knowledge.
•Experience within ingest, format and file transfers, EVS LSM Operation within studio and outside broadcasts, transmission deadlines, removable media handling transfers, media asset management systems, appreciation of post -production and file based workflows and content tracking, preferred.
•Ability to problem solve and provide ideas for on-going improvement regarding workflows and systems.
•Ability to demonstrate clear and concise communication skills with colleagues and customers alike.
•Actively adapt to change, keeping abreast of technological advances to continue the path of learning and aid the continuing progression of the department.
