Media Manager

London

This is an office based role, split across two locations, working directly with the Formula 1 team and the edit supervisor. You will have a key role on the production, and ability to be able to work on your own initiative whilst being confident about when to refer up is key. You will be responsible for managing all the media that is gathered on Formula 1 from both race weekends and any shoots that take place away from those weekends. You'll also be responsible for maintaining all the Formula 1 archive.

The successful candidate will have experience of media managing projects for a variety of clients and broadcasters. You will be involved in managing media making sure that all media is mirrored across two sites on two different servers.

Responsibilities
• Make sure that all media is arranged, correctly labelled, and put in the
correct place on the system for two different locations.
• Managing all media that is sent from location, which could come in via
satellite or via the internet and then distributed accordingly.
• Working with the edit supervisor and Formula 1 team to make sure relevant
media is archived as and when required.
• Keeping the archive in a good working order and familiarising yourself with it
for when footage is required.
• Ensuring space on both systems are kept at a workable level.
• Working with the logger to make sure all logging is up to date and
completed to a standard that is expected within the team.
Skills
• At least one year's experience working in media management.
• Comfortable working in a busy ever-changing environment within the
production team.
• Good communication skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks as well as a
strong team ethic.
• Good knowledge of Premier and IPD.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse
team.
• A proactive attitude to work and promoting a positive work ethic in the
team.
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to react quickly to project changes
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems
Working Hours
9:30-6:30 Monday- Friday with the exception of Formula One race weeks and
weekends, Race location will dictate the hours of work, but please be expected to
work some unsociable hours.
