Managing Editor - News & Archive, ITN Productions (12 Month FTC Maternity Cover)
Overview
The ITNP News team needs a talented all-rounder to join the team for 2020.
The successful candidate will have editorial, managerial and commercial experience and robust ideas about business development.
The role combines supporting the team to deliver high quality news content to existing clients, and growing revenue through new distribution deals.
A comprehensive overview of the broadcast and digital news market is essential.
Responsibilities
* Building a pipeline for sales of digital products
* Account management of digital clients and development of the product
* Oversight of staff recruitment
* Planning for major news events and obituaries
* Project management of new ventures / partnerships
* Brand partnerships, in particular around the Royal Fashion Channel

Qualifications
Key skills:
* Strong news judgement and a track record of working in a national newsroom
* Experience running a P&L and costing up new projects
* Line management experience
* Understanding of the revenue models of digital distribution
* Ability to identify new B2B commercial opportunities in the video news industry
* Capable of pitching engaging, intelligent proposals to C-suite executives
* Account management and client liaison skills
