In order to support our award-winning continuing-drama, we rely heavily on talented freelance Makeup Artists that we can engage, on a daily basis, to work alongside our brilliant staff Makeup team.

If you have an interest in drama and have already worked in this capacity, then we would like to meet you at our forthcoming Makeup Work Assessment Centre to be held here in Leeds.

You will need to have gained some experience working as a Makeup Artist in TV. Ideally you will hold qualifications in Media / Drama Makeup and also have qualifications in barbering/cutting/hairdressing - preferably to NVQ Level 2.

You must be able to work long-hours, in both studio and out on location often in inclement weather conditions. There is manual handling involved in this role, as you are required to carry around your Makeup Kit etc, therefore good physical stamina is required for climbing in and out of a Makeup Van on location.

You must have a professional outlook especially around cast - confidentiality and discretion is an absolute must. Flexibility and adaptability is also very important to us as you will work with a variety of different teams and you will need to be able to work at a fast-pace in order to meet pressured deadlines.

If you are invited to attend our Work Assessment Centre, then we will select a number of candidates who we can add to our freelance database straightaway, or alternatively, offer a week's work experience if we feel you have the potential to develop your skills into this genre.
