Lighting artists produce high-quality lighting and rendering for our CG scenesYou'll be engaging at every stage of production including pre-visualization of complicated sequences, look development, and research and development. You'll optimize and troubleshoot lighting and rendering problems in a fast-paced environment.Working closely with CG Supervisors/Leads, lighting artists determine best approaches to solve 3D challenges and develop final looks.Lighting artists also work closely with compositors to finish selected shots so that computer generated elements are seamlessly integrated with live-action plates.If you have a passion for lighting, then we want to hear from you!REQUIREMENTSMPC expands into Streaming and Episodic VFX with the launch of a specialist division, MPC Episodic. The division offers episodic directors and producers' access to the pioneering technology and world-class talent behind recent blockbusters such as; The Lion King, Godzilla: King of The Monsters, Detective Pikachu and the BAFTA award winning 1917.Led by MD Tom Williams, Executive VFX Supervisor, Pete Jopling (The Bourne Legacy, Captain America: Civil War and Chernobyl), Head of Creative Gurel Mehmet (The Witcher, Avengers: Endgame, Inception) and Senior Producer Therese Zambra (Mars, Frontline) MPC Episodic is actively hiring the industry's top VFX talent, to work on some of the most exciting series visual effects work in the industry.QUALIFICATIONSLighting Essentials:Strong knowledge of Katana and Renderman (user level)Strong understanding of rendering techniquesUnderstanding of shading models / networksAny of the following technical skills is a bonus:Previous experience with LinuxKnowledge of Mel/Python/LUA scriptingAbility to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasksMaya and/or Houdini experienceExperience with Texture Painting, 3D Modeling or Look DevelopmentAny of the following experience is a great advantage:Ability to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasksAbility to manage personal as well as team milestones and deadlinesPrevious experience in a VFX environmentStrong communication skills are critical.
