We are excited to be able to offer this Junior Producer job placement via the Government Kickstart Scheme, which is a fantastic opportunity for anyone aged between 16 and 24 who is currently unemployed. The placement will be:
25 hours a week
For a six-month period
Paid the National Minimum Wage
The Junior Producer will have the opportunity to work on various productions from corporate communications, promotional content, marketing material and animations. The Junior Producer role will include overseeing some productions from start to finish, working with the client directly to ensure that films stay within budget, and to ensure films produced are to the highest standard, with guidance
and training from the Head of Production. The role will include directing and working with various members of the production and post production creative team.
The Junior Producer will also work closely with the Head of Production and the Business Development team to find new clients and opportunities. We do not believe in a hard sell, and the Junior Producer will be expected to help research potential clients and then build relationships to help them become clients.
Other aspects of the role may include general administrative work including answering emails and phone calls. There will also be opportunities to learn to edit, animate and film at points in this role and helping to assist with the companies social media account.
You will learn about and gain experience in:
The production process from start to finish
About kit, application and usage on shoots
Training and working with crew and clients as well as learning about practical elements of production
How to present ideas effectively
You will be given time to see how different areas of the business work, as well as the opportunity to learn the basics of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
Participation in team meetings where we discuss projects and brainstorm creative ideas
Experience of working in a small business, developing teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and building confidence in the workplace
Qualifications, skills and experience ideally required:?
Degree or qualifications in multimedia, filmmaking or any equivalent experience
A creative and analytical brain and the ability to convey and communicate ideas
The ability to make a decision with conviction, sometimes these decisions need to be made quickly and sometimes need the bravery to step back and really process and understand the gravitas of your decision before jumping in
Knowledge and experience in digital social media platforms
Some working experience of using the Adobe suite: Premiere, After Effects, illustrator and Photoshop would be advantageous
Have good attention to detail and able to work within deadlines
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive young person who wants to learn and apply the skills learned at either school, college or university to work on our exciting creative projects.
