Junior Producer/Editor

Stratford, London

Reporting to BT Sport's two Preditor Shift Leaders, this role will provide an opportunity for developing both producing and editing skills under the close supervision of senior members of the team. The successful applicant will work closely with many teams within BT Sport including Programme Planning, Scheduling, Production, Traffic and Playout. The applicant will learn to produce and edit interstitials, reversion live programming for retransmission, insert editing for live transmissions and perform quality control and compliance to ensure content is TX ready.

What will you be doing?

Providing support and assistance to both teams of Producer Editors (Preditors)
Responsibility for own output - editing, complying and delivering content (using Avid and Premiere)
Assisting with media restoration and prep required for edits
Assisting with upkeep and general maintenance of Toolkit media on HD and UHD platforms
Implementing 'quick fixes' to any productions that require re-editing, often at short notice
Liaising and working with Production, Traffic, Creative and other departments to benefit edit productions
Developing (with team) new programme ideas, formats and edit workflows
Responsibility for ensuring close contact with both sides of Preditor shift teams
Responsibility for individual time management of edits and workload in a high pressure deadline driven environment

Assisting with the overall editing, production, compliance and delivery of:
Show productions
Repeat reversions
Interstitial programming
Inserts for live and post produced programming
Technical Compliance
Editorial Compliance
OFCOM Compliance


What will you have done before?

Competent use of Avid Media Composer/Symphony
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Show eagerness and initiative for television production
Ability to work and manage time effectively
Previous experience in a live broadcast environment an advantage
Knowledge of Ofcom regulations an advantage
Good knowledge of sport essential
