The Junior-Level Broadcast Engineer responsibilities include learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops on and offsite, observing all health and safety codes, completing tests and assignments, as well as delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders. You need to be well organised, flexible and willing to assist. Mentoring and development will be provided from the wider team, including the operational staff and the dedicated Radio Systems Engineer. To be successful, you must have great time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure. The successful candidate will respond well to criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression. Principal Responsibilities: Attending workshops and participating in as many learning opportunities as possibleAssisting with the design and implementation of linear broadcast service playout and distribution systemsLearning and demonstrating an understanding of the standards by which Encompass Digital Media and its partners/suppliers build and deploy solutions and associated engineering and IT infrastructureAssisting with project delivery activityPerforming and reporting on regular maintenance activitiesDocumentation of as-built solutions and hand-over to engineering supportAttending meetings and offering suggestions for improvementsLogging and reporting of skills learnedBuilding relationships with colleagues and clientsBased in the Chiswick office, travel to other sites may be required Experience/Knowledge Educated to Degree level in an Engineering related discipline Personal Skills: Good time management and interpersonal skillsTeam player with excellent verbal and written communication skillsA growth mind-set and a passion for learningWork load prioritisingFace to face, written and oral client interactionsHonest and accountable with a strong sense of ownershipBenefits include:25 days holiday, plus public holidaysPerformance Recognition AwardsWork from home one day per week for roles that support remote working (after successful completion of probation and as agreed with Management)Matched Contribution Pension Scheme, Health Cash Plan, Group Income Protection and Life AssuranceSocial events, Cycle to Work Scheme, Season Ticket Loan and many more!
