Position
The team:

Portland's Content & Brand team draws together design, brand strategy, web development, data visualization and film & video production. Our integrated team supports clients across Portland, producing content and collateral for public affairs, communications and stakeholder campaigns.

The role:

Portland is looking for a talented Junior Film & Video Producer to join our existing team of 4 producers and will work with account teams across the business to deliver their client and marketing requirements.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and the ideal candidate would have some agency experience. We are looking for someone that is passionate about films, social media and technology and is looking to learn and constantly update their skills and expertise.

The Junior Film & Video Producer will be ready to develop their existing skills by working with senior members of the team to produce video content of a variety of scales and complexities - particularly stylish, shareable social media content.

The ideal candidate would also have grounding in motion graphics.

Key responsibilities:

- Perform video editing tasks as directed by the senior film & video team to a high standard
- Self-shoot using Portland's film kit
- Pull footage from various sources using a variety of softwares'
- Ingest footage ready for edit as directed
- Burn in subtitles to videos
- Help organise logistics and permissions for shoots
- Assist with transportation and hire of equipment
- Be able to conduct all typical runner duties on location
- Prepare storyboards and treatments as directed by the senior film & video team
- Assist the team as required to help plan and execute creative video proposals

Requirements
Qualifications, skills and competencies:

You must:

- Have high attention to detail
- Be able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Be proficient with Adobe Premiere and After effects
- Self-shoot with basic understanding of filming techniques and camera operation
- Have a high level of organisational and problem-solving skills
- Be a grounded communicator: you know how to set expectations with teammates, ask the right questions, explain what you're capable of and talk about your design decisions clearly and persuasively to non-designers

Desirable:

- A good eye for design
- Knowledge and experience of digital campaigns and social media platforms
- Experience shooting with Sony Cameras (a7s, a7iii, Sony FS5, FS7), Canon C300 and Ronin gimbals
- Enjoy keeping on track with emerging social media video trends and culture
