Picture Shop UK is looking for a Junior Engineer who is able to work in a diverse and highly agile environment, at the elite level of Studio Feature post production. This is an exciting role for anyone who is looking to gain experience in the industry and has a love for technology.
Candidates must be natural problem solvers who understand the criticality of service uptime and client service environments.

Overview of Role:
Key duties will include working with the engineering team and supporting everyday tasks and projects. Working with both Engineering and Operations to make sure production requests are being handled in a timely manner and helping with room setups and client sessions within the facility. Tracking tasks via a ticketing system and staying on top of new requests. Helping support remote sessions with the team and handling any day-to-day tasks that require attention from the team. Learning new technologies and getting involved with projects to expand on experience.
With a broad range of post services and platforms you must be a self-motivated team player, prepared to help support and work with all Streamland businesses in the UK group.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Proactive nature towards resolving basic technical issues
• A keen technical focus on learning and a thirst for knowledge
• Experience with using a ticketing system or similar
• Ability to work with and support the engineering team and their requests
• Help manage remote streaming sessions and room setups
• Help with technical installs and projects both within the facility and with the wider group
• Basic knowledge of Linux, OSX and Windows operation systems
• Basic Knowledge of video and audio edit/grading systems
• Basic Knowledge of file formats and video encoding a bonus
• Some basic networking knowledge preferable
• Good documentation and communication skills

A proactive hands on approach is preferred, with solid can do attitude and an ability to be an independent thinker and problem solver.
