You'll be trusted - you will take ownership of specific small elements of projects and meet time, cost and quality targets for their delivery, undertake work as necessary to ensure compliance with requirements of Statutory and BBC Health & Safety regulations and that appropriate records are kept. Under supervision, you will work with production teams and other resource departments to ensure operational and other production needs are met. In addition, you will prepare equipment for location use, assist with the technical planning and rigging of Studio Outside Activities and plan and deliver refurbishment projects.

You will ensure that electronic equipment is maintained and aligned to defined standards and is modified and updated as required, and ensure accurate line-up of vision monitoring facilities. You'll manage and maintain the studio tapeless recording operation, operate camera colour balance and other engineering set up controls.
You'll be supported - You will work alongside a motivated and supportive engineering team in devising modifications to equipment or systems as required and then to supervise appropriate field trails. You'll be offered training and excellent progression prospects and will be presented with the opportunity to grow with an established and forward thinking team of professionals.
You'll do your research - You will keep up to date with current and future broadcast technology trends and work with other members of the project team in order to encourage the adoption of technical innovation where appropriate in solutions. This includes maintaining knowledge of industry and competitor developments.
