Contract Summary

Reporting into the Technical Operations Manager, the Junior Editor will edit packages, highlights, VTs and full programmes for the Premier League Content Service Schedule.

Key Accountabilities

To edit packages, highlights, VTs on Avid
To help maintain relevant Avid workspaces
Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcaster/client as appropriate
You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge & Experience)

Fluent in Avid editing including Interplay and NEXUS
Understanding of EVS to Avid workflow
Previous professional experience in cutting football, features and matches for broadcast in a fast turnaround environment;
Good understanding of football particularly the Premier League.
Media management experience
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills;
Uses own initiative and ability to work well as part of a team and remotely without close supervision;
Previous experience of working to tight deadlines, working effectively under pressure;
Computer literate;
Excellent customer focus skills (representing the face of the company/programme);
Ability to interpret and execute instructions effectively
Excellent time management - reliable and punctual;
Excellent attention to detail;
Shows initiative - able to prioritise and manage workload without close supervision;
Good team player;
Positive, professional and keen approach to work;
Flexibility & adaptability
Previous experience of cutting pieces for online content desirable
Working knowledge of IPD desirable
Degree in related technical field desirable

Working Conditions

This is a fixed term position (until May 2021), based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge (free on-site parking)
Working hours are on average 40 hours per week
Will include weekend work and occasional early start/late finishes
