Junior Editor

We have a new opportunity for a Junior Editor to grow and learn within a team of highly skilled Editors and Producers who travel around the world creating a variety of content for our diverse client portfolio.

How you will contribute:
• Supporting the edit team and helping ensure the smooth and successful delivery of all editing jobs with the aim of developing editing skills to become an Editor.
• Responsible for the ingest of content into the suites, creating and organising projects, making root folders on the internal database, B Roll editing and quality control
• Maintain storage and keep all systems up to date with the latest software and hardware (where applicable)
• Ensure edit systems are kept in an orderly manner
• Ensure the department maintains a high level of output
• Quality control of assets coming in and out of the department
• Create high quality videos (B-Rolls, online videos, high-end corporate films)
• The chosen candidate will also be introduced to our website which is an essential part of the way we distribute our content globally
• Provide support to the edit team - by way of assembling rushes, making selects, syncing sound files, preparing content and other supporting roles (such as picking up edits where needed)
• Working to tight deadlines in a professional and proactive manner
• Show a willingness to develop and add to the department
• Suggest new ways of working

Desirable skills for this role include:
• A good knowledge of the Adobe suite with a focus on Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and some knowledge of Illustrator
• A broad technical knowledge of upgrading software and troubleshooting on Mac
• A good understanding of news packages, online corporate and creative videos
• Compression/transcoding software i.e. Adobe Media Encoder (strong) Compressor, MPEG Stream clip
• Good communication skills with colleagues and clients
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solver e.g. formats and edit kit
• Ability to travel internationally
• A desire to learn and develop within an exciting team
