Junior Content Producer

London

Brave Bison is looking for an experienced and confident Junior Content Producer to produce, shoot and edit daily video output across our Bluntly brands platform channels and help develop and execute video for the Bluntly brand. This role will be on an initial 3 month fixed term contract with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The key task will be to self-develop, film and edit (in some cases with support) video formats that drive reach, engagement and add brand value.

The right candidate will need to have a strong grasp of all aspects of the editorial agenda, especially stories with a particular appeal to a digital audience.

He or she will demonstrate a clear ability to identify the key issues at the heart of any subject with the tenacity to draw out the very best angles for video.

The ideal candidate will need to contribute to researching, coordinating and setting-up their own output, but will be supported by a team as well.

Main responsibilities:

• Create new formats for the Bluntly brand. It will be the Junior Content Producer's role and responsibility to see these format ideas through from ideation to execution.
• Responsible for Pilots - These pilots will set the standard and expectations as a point of reference for video editors to work from.
• Talent management - The Junior Content Producer will be the key point of call for any presenter talent the brand requires, ensuring they're booked in and ready to shoot when required.
• Studio set-up - The Junior Content Producer will be present in all shoots, ensuring audio and video recording is sound, the presenters are on track and filming goes as smoothly as possible.

Person Specification

- You will have at least 1-2 years editorial or production experience, writing and scripting breaking news and/or features based editorial is a bonus.
- An excellent knowledge of trending stories and current affairs, as well as a grasp of which stories work best in a digital environment.
- Experience of producing scripts and questions for interviews.
