The Junior Content Planner role will work in conjunction with the Senior Content Planner in the team, reporting to the Senior Content Manager. The primary function of the Junior Content Planner role is to ensure the effective selection of content on All 4 day to day using a variety of bespoke content management systems, in an accurate and timely manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Support the Senior Content Manager and the Senior Content Planner on a day to day basis with primary responsibility for:- Management of Content Planning Items (CPIs) in the Content Planning System, making sure content availability windows are correct across all platforms and making amendments as required- Working with the Rights and Compliance teams to update availability windows on an ongoing basis- Ensuring editorial sign off of CPIs- Using appropriate reports and database management tools (e.g. Excel) to identify missing content items and subsequently make the appropriate selections- Liaising with Operations to ensure effective delivery of content to platforms and the prevention of bottlenecks of content delivery- Responding to content availability enquiries from within the wider business and reacting appropriately• Updating All 4 performance on a weekly basis on the team board to keep the wider team informed about All 4's ongoing performance• Executing editorial judgement on most appropriate content for platform promotion (under the direction of the Senior Planner), including the Samsung TV Promotional bar and Freeview Play Editorial PromotionsJOB FACTORSTechnical & Professional Skills (Knowledge, Understanding, Experience, Education)• Excellent attention to detail• Strong technology skills including ability to use MS Excel• Basic understanding of business analytics and how to use data to make decisions• Good knowledge of, and interest in, Channel 4 programmes• Demonstrable passion for the VOD / online video market• Understanding of new trends in media consumption and development of the VOD market desirableDecision Making • Ability to make judgements about appropriate content taking into account editorial, commercial and contractual factorsRelationship Management (Internal, External, 3rd parties)• Ability to form good relationships with people and work collaboratively
