As our Ingest & Playout Technician you play a material role throughout the footage lifecycle from post-production to distribution and archive, ensuring timely delivery and on-time availability of content in accordance with our quality standards. Due to paternity leave the position will be filled temporarily for about 1,5 years.

AREAS THAT PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS:

#Ingest and organization of video footage
You´ll be the person ingesting all video footage and checking it according to our technical standards in terms of format- picture- and sound quality. Additionally, you will transcode the footage for further processing. You´ll be working together closely with our colleagues from editing and post-production and as a team, you´ll be finding new ways and solutions.

#Quality control
In this role, you´ll be responsible for the QC of video footage and metadata.

#Standard conversions
One of your main tasks will be the execution of standard conversions for distribution in international markets.

#Digital Cinema
You´ll be our DCP mastering expert - ensuring content availability for various screenings, film festivals and premieres.

#Content packaging
You´re creative and service-oriented? As ingest & playout technician you´ll be responsible for the packaging of the content according to our stakeholder's and client's needs and specifications.


YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

#Strong knowledge of video and audio standards, codecs, and workflows in a live and non-live environment
#Flexibility to work nights, weekends and to travel
#Strong verbal and written communication skills
#Team player, can-do-attitude, willingness to go the extra mile, self-motivated
#Firm knowledge and command of Adobe CC18, especially Premiere, Media Encoder, Prelude, and Audition
#Cinema mastering and distribution skills as well as experience with HDR workflows are a plus
#Bachelor's or associate's degree in media technology, television/film, a related field or equivalent work experience
#Very good English skills, German is a plus
