Horticultural Researcher / Assistant Producer
Bristol / Remote
We are a double BAFTA and multi-award winning production company based in Bristol.
We are looking for a Horticultural Researcher or Assistant Producer to work on a new gardening series in 2021.
The contract would run from February - July, with the potential for some ad hoc pick up days in September & October.
Ideally you will be based in Bristol or be able to commute to Bristol for a portion of the week, but remote working will be considered for the right candidate. The role can be full time or part time to suit.
We are particularly looking for an ambitious person with creative flair, perhaps a Researcher looking to step up, or an AP keen to get stuck in to help shape an exciting new garden series.
You must have experience in horticultural research for TV as well as a wide and varied knowledge of horticulture itself. You should be proactive and be able to work independently as well as to collaborate with our presenters and production team. We are a small team so the role will cover a range of responsibilities and no two days will be the same.
The programme will be filmed in British Sign Language (BSL), however a knowledge of this is not essential. You do need to be willing to learn some basics on the job though and be interested in learning about Deaf culture and expanding your Deaf awareness.
Communication support will be provided to facilitate working between all hearing and deaf members of the production team.
If interested please apply with your CV and your availability for 2021.
