We are looking for an exceptional and creative Head of Video Production & Photography to join our expanding team. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of a fast-growing department in an exciting creative communications agency, working with high-profile clients, across multiple sectors all over the UK and occasionally in Europe.This role is ideal for somebody who has 5+ years experience looking for a fresh challenge/next step. So, what do you need to fit the bill? Well, you need to have a good understanding of video, obvs. But you'll also need to be well organised - we have many clients, with many requirements so it's a lot to keep on top of. You'll also need to be personable; there's a lot of interaction with the rest of the agency, so no lone wolves please. After all, in the words of Ned Stark: The lone wolf dies and the pack survives. Video is coming, etc etc. Our videos are creative, but we want them to be more creative. So, a fresh dose of creativity from you will come in very handy. A veritable video Van Gogh in the making would be excellent. No pressure. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of agency life (ideally having worked in a marketing/video agency before) as well as a good understanding of modern day comms (video and PR). Day-to-day tasks will include:Ensuring retained clients are looked after, by arranging video\/photography shoots on a regular basisCollaboratively working with other teams within the agency (i.e. providing the social media team with engaging content)Managing all client shoots, including: StoryboardingScriptwriting (with the help from our in house copy team)Camera operationCapturing soundManaging photography shoots. Annie Leibovitz in the making!Managing all kit within the office studioManaging all aspects of post production via the Adobe Suite and Davinci (editing, animation, colour grading, sound mixing, etc)Experimenting with new techniques and editing stylesMonitoring video analytics, reporting back to senior managementDrone operationWeekly and monthly reporting. Pretty much providing evidence we've done what we're supposed toDesired Skills and Experience:Agency experience, with an interest in digital PR/social media & video marketing. Always good to actually like what you doA real interest in video/photojournalismManagerial experience within a PR/marketing/video agencyCreative thinker. Video Van Gogh, againPassion for video production and photography and the desire to get stuck into the actual workExcellent knowledge of Adobe, specifically premiere pro and after effects. Oh, did you say Adobe? We went to school together!Sh*t hot at product photography/video would be real plus tooPolished and professional appearance. We don't mean spit shine shoes here, but we do mean not Frank GallagherGood presentation skills. This isn't a reference to a PowerPoint wizard, so think presentation in generalAbility to work well in a team and manage one, of course. We're not quite ready for prima donna, maverick types just yetCalmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines. Running around yelling 'Keep calm, Captain Mainwaring!' in a crisis, just puts the rest of the team on edgeThe capacity and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Although this is a rarity and working bank holidays especially so!A clean driving licencePositive attitude. Whilst we love a bit of self-deprecation, please, no misery guts; we're an upbeat bunch!Fun and friendly demeanour *rolls eyes in fun and friendly way*Finally a good sense of humour.
