A unique opportunity as the Head of Stage at a iconic opera house. You will be responsible for the management of all planning logistics and scheduling surrounding the Stage Department.

The COMPANY
Our client is one of the biggest opera houses in England putting on regular performances all year round.
The ROLE
Responsible for the management of all planning, logistics and scheduling for the Stage Department.
Key Responsibilities -
Manage the Stage Department and scenery stores. This will include resources and staff, keeping accurate records ensuring a safe working environments and implicating high production standards to enforce the creative vision.
Develop maintenance plans for all equipment and infrastructure, create development plans, plan effective artistic schedule, oversee transport requirements, and be accountable for budgets and health and safety management.
Liaise and maintain relationships with the BECTU representatives and enforce their standards throughout all working practices.
Create strong relationships with the Stage department staff and Technical Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the stage area at all times.

The CANDIDATE
With a deep knowledge of stagecraft , you will have previous experience within opera or theatre.
A skilled people manager, you will be used to planning and scheduling staff and resources in an unionised environment. Effective budget and resource management is vital.
Strong technical skills surrounding current stage equipment and production practice is also important.
It would be useful to have also completed training -IOSH, COSHH, IPAF, CDM
