A+C is looking for the new role of Head of Production to lead in the management of our studio space, crew and ambitions to become one of the UKs leading stop-motion production studios. Candidates will have drive, focus and consolidate production strategy and planning, embracing innovation and efficiency as we embark on the production of an ambitious slate of projects which includes short-form content, commercials and develop long-form animation.

The studio is restructuring to cater for a period of high growth. The new Head of Production role is required to oversee production planning and resource management for the studio, leading and mentoring our specialist teams to ensure A+C Studios successfully delivers productions to the highest standard and in the most cost-effective and sustainable manner.

Candidates will have proven experience in the planning and management of stop-motion productions. Understanding of animation workflow, post-production, equipment, scheduling and crew management.

A+C Studios is a one-stop-shop animation production studio that aims to deliver ideas and provide space for compelling animated storytelling. We're based by the seaside in Margate and have over 14 years experience producing animation. We're a passionate and innovative team and this role will involve working at our studios, managing multiple stages.. Key Responsibilities
Work to optimise and align the production team of the business to lead us to producing award-winning content
Manage, develop and grow the internal team of producers, assistants and co-ordinators including monthly progress updates
Provide support, guidance and oversight to ensure that all productions are being produced to the highest possible quality
Track and support the production team's projects to ensure client expectations, schedules and budgets are being met
Manage and improve overarching creative project workflows and systems
Expand our production portfolio and offering
Production resource allocation for both internal and client projects
Build and maintain relationships with production related suppliers.

Skills and Experience Needed
Experience with stop-motion processes, workflows and best-in-class output
Experience of video production management across a broad range of mediums
Substantial knowledge of end-to-end video production and outside broadcast
A high level understanding and appreciation of the technical set-ups used in the delivery of productions
Good fundamental business and finance skills
Experience of managing and leading teams across a broad range of output and locations
Experience of leading change and continuous improvement programs
Adaptive problem-solving skills
Excellent communications, collaboration and relationship building skills
Highly organised, possesses proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering on budget and on time
Knows how to take a brief and interpret it creatively and collaboratively
Ability to remain calm and confident in fast-paced environments and managing creatives

About A+C Studios
A+C Studios is an animation studio specialising in stop-motion animation. We are a team of ambitious animators, storytellers, technicians and model-makers. We combine hand-crafted, traditional animation techniques with the latest digital technologies and software to create award-winning animated content. We have two work spaces. A set of film studios in a beautiful Victorian building, The Old Laundry, in Margate and on the opposite side of the road, a newly converted bright and airy production and post production office. We produce scripts, storyboards, sets and puppets, animation and visual effects to take an idea from script to screen. To date, A+C have produced animated content for clients including LEGO, Adidas, TK Maxx, LV= and Cadbury. Our work has been broadcast on TV, cinema and online. These projects have been completed through a combination of working directly with brands and through international advertising agencies.
