THE COMPANY

Our client is major UK Post Production house which holds a strong position in the Feature, High End Streaming and UK Broadcast markets, dealing with the elite end of the Content Production Market.

THE ROLE

The Head of Production Role is a key leadership role with direct responsibility for Picture and Sound Post Production teams, high level key talent management, Profit and Loss responsibility and strategic direction of the Picture and Sound business in the UK.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, support and motivate the Scripted Production team developing a strong department culture of collaboration and growth
• Be the escalation point for issues and problems, providing effective and timely resolutions
• Manage collaboratively with other Heads of Departments across Sales, Operations and Engineering
• Build and maintain sustaining relationships with clients at all levels and actively assist in the sales process, winning repeat business
• Oversee the allocation of projects across the team, and be actively involved in the most complex projects in terms of technical complexity and client management
• Accountability for Project Profitability
• Drive change and continuous improvement, ensuring the business optimises opportunities for growth where possible
• Manage the budget for the operation of the department & with the MD Scripted, manage costs such that target EBITDA and cashflow results can be achieved.
• Integrate seamlessly alongside the senior management team, building good working relationships and routines and being able to work well with all stakeholder levels.

THE PERSON

With substantial experience working in a Post production environment, you will have a detailed knowledge of Post including Dailies, Picture and Sound Finishing and Delivery for both Features and Episodic content.

Ideally you'll have a track record as a Senior Post Producer / Project Manager on Studio Level Features and have a deep knowledge of Feature Film and High-End Episodic Post production processes and Studio Deliveries.

A strong commercial mindset is essential as is previous management experience (resource planning / recruitment and performance management and positive financial outcomes).

With a strong network of industry contacts, you will demonstrate proven ability to build and maintain sustaining relationships with clients at all levels.
