**Job Introduction**

We are the award-winning production arm of the UK's foremost kids' broadcaster. The acclaimed In House unit, with production bases in Salford and Glasgow, produces content across all genres for 0 to 16.

Key unscripted brands developed In House include Swashbuckle, YolanDa's Band Jam, The Dengineers, Marrying Mum and Dad, Grace's Amazing Machines, Class Dismissed and the Justin Fletcher titles. We are now looking for an inspiring and expert creative lead for this successful development team, working on new and returning brands across factual, factual entertainment and comedy entertainment output.

**Role Responsibility**

As Head of Unscripted Development you'll lead the team that secures new commissions for In-House, ensuring the development pipeline maintains and grows the portfolio, domestically and internationally, and across all platforms for 0 to 16s.

You'll also help to ensure all of our audiences are reflected in our output. You'll work closely with Genre Leads for Preschool, Factual and Comedy Ents/Entertainment to help ensure continuing brands are constantly innovating, attract key new on screen talent to the In-House titles, work closely with key stakeholders to ensure In-House productions are meeting all commissioning briefs and help to identify and secure co-production partners.

**Are you the right candidate?**

We are seeking an inspirational and experienced development lead who is passionate about innovating within the unscripted genres and is able to demonstrate keen industry awareness of trends and opportunities. You'll be a creative leader with a significant track record in securing commissions with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire outstanding development teams in a multi-platform environment. You'll be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the 0 to 16 audience.

Experience of working with, and for, young audiences is desirable - if you don't have it, you must demonstrate the enthusiasm to rapidly gain a deep knowledge of the companies youngest audiences.
