WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?
Our Creative Services team is growing! We are looking for a dynamic creative leader for the role of Head of Design. Brand and Design is at the heart of every element of our communication so this is an exciting opportunity to build a team to take our brands to the next level. Your team will create all branding and design across the company.
You will manage and lead the development of a team of Senior Designers, Designers, Junior Designers to support the creative team in translating marketing briefs into brilliant, award-winning creative brands and designs that cut through, building and fosters a positive creative environment for the development of the highest quality work. Some international travel will be required as part of this role.
Our Creative Services department is an in-house team responsible for bringing our communications / marketing briefs to life through creating and producing innovative, visually stunning, and effective creative that drive business performance across the group globally, with the largest client being DAZN. The department is a mix of Creatives, Designers and Production staff.
Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis - UK / EU citizen or ILR.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
Creative Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creative execution for all branding & design globally.
Brand Guardianship across the business.
Lead and direct all output of the Design team across all element of visual design across multiple platform briefs.
Drive innovation in conceptual design, process, and technology.
Explore and shape creative ideas and align them with strategic brand goals.
Introduce and deliver brand consistency across all brand work and brand touch points within the business.
Gain client stakeholder buy-in to ideas through effective presentation and engagement.
Hold regular creative review sessions with the wider team.
Work with research colleagues to understand effectiveness of work produced by the team and flex and adapt creative solutions.
Work with Studio Manager to source external providers/agencies/staff as required.
Scope out needs for any third-party contracts/projects as required.
Ensure all output is editorially accurate and technically compliant.
Management Responsibilites
Manage, mentor and nurture the Design team.
Work as part of the leadership team to create and implement a team atmosphere and encourage sharing of skills and knowledge.
Recruit top talent as required.
Manage and implement the PDR Appraisal process for your team, to ensure team stay engaged and inspired.
Support and work through any performance issues within the team.
Be an advocate for Central Creative in the wider business and external.
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
8+ years leading design teams in a well-respected agency/in-house creative department for high-profile FMCG brands.
Extensive experience in managing design across multiple complex integrated cross media. campaigns, across video production, post production, social media and digital.
Expert in all of Adobe CS products.
A robust portfolio with up-to-date projects.
Extensive experience in managing design across multiple complex integrated cross media. campaigns, across video production, post production, social media and digital.
Passionate about sports.
