You are an experienced senior content producer, brand marketer, or journalist, who is looking to lead and implement our engagement strategy.
This role will suit you if you are looking to move into a wider communications role with more seniority, some line management and a good deal of creative freedom.

As a member of our Senior Management Team, you will work confidently and closely with our Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content for each target audience.
• Map out a content strategy that supports and extends UKCP objectives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why.
• The development of a functional content calendar relevant to target groups.
• Supervise writers, editors and content strategists. Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
• Commission content through third parties where necessary.
• Conducting ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness. Gathering data and handle analytics (or supervise those who do) and make recommendations based on those results. Working with owners of particular content to revise and measure particular content goals.
• Develop standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.
• Establish work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
• Work with our technical team to implement appropriate CMS.
• Conducting periodic competitive audits.
• Ensuring consistent 'global' experience and implement appropriate 'local' strategies.
• Supervise content/story leaders.
• Creation of a strategy for innovation as needed.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels.
