Head of Comedy Talent Development

London

Reporting to the Director, Comedy you will have the scope to define and own the strategic and creative direction for the Comedy development slate. Working with the wider comedy commissioning team, you will be at the heart of providing editorial support, on a project by project basis, and acting as a sounding board more widely to ensure our overall creative ambitions for Comedy Commissioning.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity within the industry to lead the talent development strategy for the Comedy Commissioning team - initiating new relationships with key emerging talent across the UK comedy landscape and fostering existing ones.

The Ideal Candidate
You will need significant experience in development and production, ideally across comedy and/or entertainment. You will excel at making diverse comedy content, with a clear editorial vision, and strengths in developing and delivering appropriate content to the most relevant platform.

Crucial to success will be your expertise in the use of social media and producing digital content, instinctively knowing how to develop and innovate to achieve our editorial ambitions.

You will need a track record in leading and inspiring development and production teams, within a multi-platform environment. Your leadership skills should be as exemplary as your writing skills and experience of writing and pitching proposals tailored to specific audience needs on all platforms.
