Location: Glasgow
Salary: Circa £25,000 dependent on experience
Contract type: Full time fixed term contract until 31st December 2018

The Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Graphic Designer /Print Coordinator to support the Head of Education in leading a large team of editors and designers to prepare a range of lesson materials for print and web.
We need someone with leadership qualities, as you will be the first point of call for designers when they have issues and you will need to manage their work flow of design assets to ensure we meet our deadlines. The successful candidate will have an excellent eye for detail and take a methodical approach to their work. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, and be able to work under pressure to a tight production schedule.
Responsibilities include:
? Coordinating the pipeline of design assets.
? Being a central point of contact for the department's design requirements
? Working closely with designers to ensure a cohesive relationship between copy and design
? Supporting the designers with technical, creative and schedule queries
? Flagging risks either with quality or work flow so there is time to find a solution
? Working with the Print Production Manager to coordinate and implement the print requirements
? Signing off files for print to the desired specification
? Designing content from a creative brief and to brand guidelines
? Carrying out quality checks of print content Experience/Skills:
? Track record in coordinating a design team for a successful delivery
? Experience of print processes
? Highly proficient in using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
? Giving feedback to designers to improve their output
? Experience of implementing brand guidelines
? Ability to prioritise and problem solve, and take a flexible approach to work
