Grade/Edit Assistant

Technicolor are looking for a Grade/Edit Assistant to support our Production team in Soho.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaise with Production to understand the forthcoming bookings within Scheduall. Liaise with client and Production to acquire the Edit Decision List. Liaise with client to determine their needs in relation to their content. Advise the client on the DI workflow, making recommendations where appropriate.
MANAGE THE FILES AND ASSETS THROUGHOUT THE DEPARTMENT, USING APPROPRIATE DATA, META-DATA AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT RETRIEVE THE DIGITAL MEDIA ASSETS FROM I/O AND SCANNING. ASSEMBLE THE MEDIA TO A FINISHED DI OR BROADCAST STANDARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TECHNICAL AND EDITORIAL SPECIFICATION

Prepare the finished timelines for final grade to the Theatrical or Broadcast specification and export the material to the appropriate medium for the equipment in use.
Perform quality control checks of conformed timelines in alignment with guides supplied by the client. Perform technical quality control checks on all material to meet broadcast and studio feature film delivery standards.
Using all the tools available within the facility, add opticals and VFX as specified by the client. Add main title, subtitles, places and the end roller as appropriate.
On completion, present the edited content to the client, explaining the changes applied.
Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation and workflows with Operations and Production, describing Editorial operating and workplace instructions.
Learn, understand and adhere to Technicolor's workflows and procedures relating to Editorial in particular and the whole Post Production facility in general. Adhere to Technicolor's policies and standards for all operational areas.
Contribute proactively to team meetings and act as an ambassador when representing Editorial outside the department. Make suggestions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Engage in quality initiatives to ensure work output is of a high quality to meet client expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Able to autonomously operate Editing equipment e.g. Smoke, Avid DS, Baselight and/or IQ or other appropriate Editing equipment
· Knowledgeable about SD and HD tape formats and standards, digital acquisition formats, encoding and transcoding methods and formats, compression file formats and operating systems e.g. Linux, Mac OS, Windows
· Excellent client handling skills, builds rapport quickly with clients to establish long-term relationships, encourage repeat business and upsell opportunities
· Creative flair and passion for the theatrical and broadcast industry
· Attention to detail, deadline oriented and able to organize and prioritise work
· Flexible approach to work (able to work ad hoc weekends, nights and additional hours as required), proactive and reliable team player
