Job Description Details

You will be responsible for preparing, directing and vision-mixing our live and pre-recorded shows with a focus on making them visually appealing, compelling to watch and effective at telling the story of the brand, in line with the QVC style.

You will work on shift with a team of Producers and Directors, working closely with our Presenters, Guests and Co-ordinating Producers to make sure that each programme on the schedule is fully prepared and planned.

There's a lot to get excited about as the live broadcasting and the off-line content creation environments are ever-changing. With a wide variety of shows, products and people, the role can be both interesting and challenging.

Director:

We are looking for freelancers with a proven background in multi-camera directing and vision mixing. You will be an expert in the gallery, happy to give guidance to others whilst being proficient in using graphics and the playout server for stills and moving images.

Being such a unique business, we tend to have lots of bespoke systems. To be successful you will be confident on all standard computer packages and you will also be happy to learn all of our new ones (they aren't too tricky, honest)

We are looking for a natural born communicator, someone who can give direction confidently. Ideally, we would be looking for someone with home shopping TV experience but we are open-minded and will consider a skilled Director / Vision Mixer from any background - as we know it's a bit of a niche.
