Film-maker/Video Ethnographer (French Speaking)

Guinea

We are looking for Guinea-based French-speaking documentary-makers or film-makers (self-shooter/editors) for an exciting research project in Guinea. It is vital that you have a genuine interest in people and culture, and an observational style of film-making. It is essential that you are fluent in French as you will need to liaise with researchers and participants in French. Fluency in any other local Guinean language is desirable. You will need to be based in Guinea or nearby.

- Fieldwork in Guinea would most likely commence in the second half of April, preceded by a briefing online.
- Approx. 5-7 days work in total. Each filmed interview will last 5-7 hours.
- You will be accompanied by a researcher who will interview the participant while you film.
- The filmed interviews are with Guinean women who have children, and will look at their care-giving role and attitudes to health.

Please get in touch if you fit the requirements and we will provide more details.
