The Traverse Theatre is currently looking to appoint a Festival Technician for the Fringe Festival period in August to be responsible for the smooth turnarounds and operation of shows in either of our Theatre spaces. As a team the Festival LX Crew will be turning round all of the technical aspects of the productions in both theatres including lighting, sound and AV. The Festival LX Crew may also be needed to operate shows as required. The role is a physical one with some lifting and carrying. Working knowledge of theatre is essential as is the ability to work under pressure.

As a team of 6 the Festival LX Crew will report to the Chief Electrician.

Excellent time management is essential as well as the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and delegate appropriately. Along with your excellent communication skills you will be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

The working week will be 48 hours with one day off per week. Any additional hours will be paid at single time. The contract will run from late July to 27th August 2017. This role is not suitable for anyone with other festival commitments.
