Executive Producer - ASN Media

The Issue

The world is facing a climate and ecological disaster, we're currently living through the sixth mass extinction of life on our planet. More must be done to communicate the available solutions we have to the global challenges we face.

The Idea

ASN Media partners with professional member bodies and associations in a wide range of sectors, communicating the issues and available solutions to professional and community-based audiences via online campaigns. We are a boutique, remotely operated but successful and growing business. We produce online programmes that are launched at key events and are filmed in a news style format. The Position

Executive Producer; to lead on all production work, liaising with our network of freelance editors, camera operators, reporters and presenters, with the support of a part time production assistant and other freelance producers. This role is being created with a view to oversee the growth of a small team and help to grow and develop the business. This is a remote position.

The Required Experience

The obvious stuff
- A high level of organisation and communication skills, structured, credible and professional (this is really important).
- Good with remote working and remote tools (frame.io / zoom / teams / google shared drive etc.).
- Creative storytelling and full process film production experience - from concept to delivery.
- Project management, budget management, people management and talent management experience.
- Client management at all levels up to C-Suite, spanning; corporations, government, charities, NGOs, academia etc.

The less-obvious stuff
- Strong scripting and writing skills.
- Either or both; broadcast news experience or some form of science communication background (or relevant science-based qualification).
- A good working knowledge of current affairs and of global challenges such as climate change.
- Experience with preparing content for interviews, briefing and coaching reporters & presenters, writing newsreader story links.
- Creative, passionate, interesting and engaging.

The Team

- Reporting into the director / owner, with whom the executive producer will have a close working relationship. His personality type: logical and structured, creative and reasonably informed on global issues. Sometimes silly.
- First three months working alongside a highly experienced freelance producer with a strong understanding of the working model.
- Team of 3-5 regulars, lots of freelancers.
