NBCUniversal is looking for an Executive Producers for a new international news service. We are looking for an exceptionally talented and experienced journalists to oversee several hours of live breaking news with the highest level of editorial and production standards, and to lead a team of producers and presenters. Candidates must thrive under pressure and be able to deliver news as it happens without sacrificing the quality and journalistic integrity of the on-air and on-line product. The successful candidate is creative, curious, efficient, a problem solver and a team leader. They can create a competitive live news program and provide comprehensive coverage of world events that define the editorial brand of the network by making full use of newsroom and field resources.

Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the overall vision, content, editorial planning process, and day to day operations of several hours of morning live breaking news programming including: deciding stories and guests for live broadcasts, graphics, and on-air social media integration, in constant coordination with the news gathering guest
• Copy edit all scripts
• Coach and mentor show staff including Senior Producer
• Prepares and develops rundowns
• Collaborate with other newsroom managers
• Work with all facets of the organization to ensure the most accurate and compelling coverage

Skills and Experience
• Extensive experience in live television news
• Sound journalistic judgment
• Thorough knowledge of world affairs and current events, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
• Exceptional editorial and production skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling television
• Strong understanding of social media storytelling and news gathering
• Strong control room experience
• Must have strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
• Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
• Education to degree level
