Executive Producer

London

In the last twelve months, the Smooth brand has hit its highest ever audience on record, both in London and across the UK. Now, we're looking for someone to help us continue that success story through 2019 and beyond.

In this exciting new role, working as part of the station's management team, you'll take direct responsibility for growing Smooth's flagship morning show - presented by Kate Garraway and networked across the UK. You will also work on a range of other high-profile programmes and will play a key part in our commercial and digital successes, too.

What you'll be doing...
· working from 8am, you'll take the lead on planning and then producing our mid-morning show (10am-1pm), presented by Kate Garraway
· Directing and coaching our presenter talent, making sure we get the best out of them on-air
· Closely collaborating with our commercial team to grow airtime and content solutions revenue across the Smooth brand
· Devising outstanding, cut-through ideas, which make Smooth a compelling listen and help us continue to grow our reach and share
· Implementing new strategies to drive Smooth forward in the social and digital spaces
· Working on a number of weekend programmes, presented by high-profile talent

What we expect from you...
· Significant experience of producing mass-market radio programming, and a great track record in coaching and developing presenters
· A demonstrable ability to deliver audience growth
· A successful history of working in a commercial environment, and of coming up with creative ideas which directly lead to revenue success
· An excellent knowledge of the music we play on Smooth
· Someone who excels under pressure, and thrives on the challenge of attracting listeners from our competitors
· A kind, collaborative and collegiate approach: we're a small but passionate team, and we're looking for someone who can inspire, support and motivate others
· An acute understanding of where Smooth sits within the radio marketplace
· Experience in managing senior stakeholders, and the ability to deputise for Smooth's Managing Editor and/or Deputy Managing Editor as required
